Enterprise imaging

Decoupling imaging data from proprietary archives so it can be seen, compared, analysed and acted on across an entire organisation.

Overview

Where imaging lock-in actually lives

Imaging is usually the most locked-in part of a healthcare estate. Decoupling the archive from any one PACS is what makes longitudinal, multi-site and AI-enabled imaging possible.

CAD CARE DICOM Application Server

The imaging layer of CAD CARE PLUS. It sits between PACS/VNA and the radiology, hospital and imaging management systems above it, speaking Direct, WADO and DICOM, with report and URL integration back into the EMR — and zero-footprint viewers on desktop, tablet and mobile.

Terminology

VNA, used precisely

Two meanings, kept distinct

In imaging contexts, VNA is the Vendor Neutral Archive — a repository that decouples imaging data from a proprietary PACS. CAD CARE PLUS also carries VNA as part of its own product name, standing for Vendor Neutral Application — the broader platform philosophy across all ten PLUS modules, not just imaging. See the glossary for both.

Scope of claim

CAD CARE architects, integrates and works alongside imaging VNA and PACS environments, including its own CAD CARE DICOM Application Server for PACS/VNA connectivity. CAD CARE does not claim to operate a third-party VNA product it has not actually deployed.

Zero footprint

Browser-based, cross-platform imaging access

Delivering imaging and clinical viewing through a secure browser session removes the workstation-specific installation that keeps imaging trapped in the radiology department.
